Case study

We were asked to help improve the interpersonal skills of someone who, although at the top of her field in terms of technical knowledge, was struggling to demonstrate the gravitas required to become a senior manager.

During two sessions we worked on improving her presence, authority and “bearing” as a communicator.  The sessions were filmed and so helped us to identify that whilst extremely pleasant and engaging when talking about non work related topics, she became intense and monotone when talking about work.  We also worked on speed of delivery and the power of silence.  By the end of our sessions, not only had her communication skills dramatically improved, but her levels of confidence and composure had grown too.
