Are you about to be immersed in a culture significantly different (from both a work and social perspective) to your usual one?  Do you need to make a smooth transition from one to the other?  Do you need to be able to recognise and redress problem areas from a cross-cultural perspective?  If so, then this workshop is for you.

Successful international communication with colleagues and customers depends on building trust.  This programme is based on building that trust.  In a highly interactive, energised and practical workshop, participants will explore cultural awareness both individually and collectively.  They will examine “accepted wisdoms” and stereotypes by comparing values and attitudes across their “usual” and “target” cultures. Activities are designed to simulate real experience, so the focus is about doing and feeling as much as it is about listening and learning.

Key topics covered include cross-cultural negotiation, gathering information about cultural styles and being able to adapt behaviour to ensure better working relationships.

You will learn how to:

Recognise different cultural styles

Adapt behavior to culture

Improve interpersonal understanding for more productive business environment

Bridge the culture gap for greater communication

Increase the inclusion of different identity groups
